Arrival in the morning and accommodation in hotel 3*, 15 minutes from marvellous ruins of Paestum. The hotel is situated in place which gives you possibility to enjoy you vacation as a mix of culture, sea and flavours of the best Mediterranean cuisine.

You will have opportunity to taste the famous mozzarella di bufala, home made “pasta”, wines and liquors from this region and other typical and exquisite products of Campania. Lunch time.

In the afternoon guided visit of the Grottos of Castelcivita. Return to hotel and dinner. Overnight.

 

2nd day

Breakfast. In the morning departure to Vietri sul Mare and guided visit of the ceramic factory. The ceramic of Vietri, for which Vietri is world famous are small masterpieces, decorated with yellow and blue, the colours of nature and sea. Free time for lunch and shopping time. In the evening return to hotel, dinner and overnight.

 

3rd day

Breakfast. In the morning departure for excursion in discovering “the paths of the oil in Cilento”. You will have opportunity to discover and taste exquisite and high quality olive oil, which accompanies tasteful and typical dishes of famous “Dieta Mediterranea”. Through “ways of the oils” you will be able to discover real Cilento which consists of small cities and intact nature. During excursions it will be possible to know ancient technique, taste typical products, visit Museo della Civiltà Contadina and be able to buy olive oil from local production.

In the afternoon return to hotel, dinner and overnight.

 

4th day

After breakfast departure to Padula and guided visit to Magnificent Certosa of San Lorenzo. The majesty of the building, a true “convent-city” and the exuberance of the décor, make this an obligatory visit. Following lunch in farm house or nearby restaurant where you can enjoy splendid view of historical city centre of Padula. In the afternoon departure to Teggiano, one of the most ancient towns of the Vallo di Diano and walking through the town where you will get to know more about the history of this medieval city.

In late afternoon, return to hotel, dinner and overnight.

 

5th day

Breakfast. In the morning transfer possibility on request to visit of the historical city centre of Salerno and ancient Salerno Medical School passing through Corso, Piazza Portanova, Via dei Mercanti (medieval quarter), Duomo, Minerva’s Gardens (tea tasting), Verdi Theatre, Villa Comunale (City Park) where you can taste famous lemon ice cream, Lungomare, Arechi Castle. Free evening. Return to hotel, dinner and overnight.

 

6th day

After breakfast excursion on request to Olevano sul Tusciano and guided visit to Grotto of San Michele which will last approximately one and a half hour. Transfer to farm house and lunch time (you will have opportunity to taste typical products from this area).

Visit to ceramic factory in the centre of Olevano and guided visit to ancient basket factory where you will assist at manual production of baskets. Continuing the visit of Astronomy Observatory “G. Canillo Gloriosi” in Montecorvino Rovella. As alternative possibility to visit terracotta factory or agriculture factory in Montecorvino Rovella. At the end of excursion tasting of ice cream. In the evening, return to hotel, dinner and overnight.

 

 

 

7th day

Breakfast. Free day.

In the afternoon departure to Pertosa and participating to spectacle ‘Dante’s Hell in Pertosa grottos’. Participants will follow Dante which will guide them in Hell’s Circles and on that way will become himself character of the opera of the famous poet. Return to hotel, dinner and overnight.

 

8th day

Breakfast. In the morning departure to Paestum, visit of the bufala farm, famous for the production of the famous mozzarella di bufala and tasting. Transfer and visit of the archaeological museum containing a rich collection of frescoes belonging to the Greek period and guided tour of the temples. Free time for shopping and ice cream.

Return to hotel. End of services.
