VALLO DI DIANO: FLAVOURS AND CULTURE OF MIDDLE AGES
-Teggiano, Pertosa, Padula-
1st day
Arrival of the partecipants in the late afternoon and accommodation in hotel 4* situated in the inner city of Teggiano, small town situated in the heart of Park of Cilento and Vallo di Diano. From here you can reach easily some of the most important localities of Vallo di Diano. You will have the opportunity to taste typical Campania’s cuisine, products and wine. Dinner in the hotel restaurant. Free evening. Overnight.
2nd day
After breakfast, departure for visit of the inner city of Teggiano, located on the top of the hill with its narrow streets nestled around the Castle. Fine examples of Romanesque architecture are preserved, often built on top of existing Roman foundations.
In the afternoon departure to Pertosa and participating to spectacle ‘Dante’s Hell in Pertosa's grottos’. Participants will follow Dante who will guide them in Hell’s Circles and while living this spectacle they become a character of the opera of the famous poet. Return to hotel, dinner and overnight.
3rd day
Breakfast. In the morning meeting with the guidebook for the guided visit of Padula: you will visit the Carthusian monastery of San Lorenzo, one of the biggest monastery in the world; visit to Joe Petrosino Museum.
Lunch in restaurant where you will taste exquisite and typical products and dishes of this area.
End of the services.
