ANCIENT SPLENDORS: ARCHEOLOGY AND TRADITION

1st day

In the afternoon arrival of participants, and accommodation in hotel 4* in the centre of Salerno. Meeting with our assistant and departure to Vietri sul Mare. The ceramic of Vietri, for which Vietri is world famous are small masterpieces, decorated with yellow and blue, the colours of nature (lemons) and sea.

Guided visit to ceramic factory. Free time to visit of the historical city centre of Vietri and shopping through the numerous ceramic shops in the centre of Vietri. Free evening. Return to hotel and overnight.

2nd day

Breakfast. Meeting with our assistant and departure to Pompeii, city which after the eruption of the Volcano in the year 79 A.D. laid buried and forgotten for hundred of years. Pompeii today holds an intense fascination for visitors. Guided visit in the past through some of the ancient streets of Pompeii where you will be able to discover life and habits of Romans. Even if your interests do not lie in history, this is an archaeological site that cannot fail to impress you. In the evening transfer to Salerno, dinner and participation in Tarantella show an incredible journey through the ages from 1558 until today. The performance revolves around the most important stories of Sorrento and the Kingdom of Naples in the last 500 years. Return to hotel and overnight.

3rd day

After breakfast meeting with our assistant and guided visit of historical city centre of Salerno (Corso, Piazza Portanova, Via dei Mercanti (medieval quarter), Duomo, Church of St. Peter, Minerva’s Gardens and tea tasting, Verdi Theatre, Villa Comunale (City Park) where you can taste famous lemon ice cream, Lungomare).

Possibility to lunch in typical restaurant in historical centre of Salerno. End of services.
